Quantum of Solace
I have a new favorite Bond. The previous film is just a set-up-prequel for Quantum. It provides only a modicum of motivation for the character who is somewhat bloodthirsty and detached as he dispatches his many enemies. The fight scene direction has gotten amazingly artful. I felt just about every punch that was either landed by Daniel Craig or that landed on him. Just yesterday saw a Pierce Brosnan version of a fight scene and it was awkward and stunted. Brosnan is a particularly good Bond mind you. He had the sense of macho and humor. Craig lacks the humorous but kicks major ass on all other fronts. He loses the car in the first ten minutes (fun) and gets kicked off the her Majesty's Service so there are no gadgets in the field (no Q) except some cool phones and a GPS. A touch-screen table and huge glass-screen make an appearance at HQ. Action, action and action and M gets a pretty good role in this one. No real depth here just fun action. 3 sparklies
